Exorcism in St Louis, 1949- It was in 1949 when a family that had been living in a Maryland suburb near the city of Washington D.C.. The family was being tortured by the strange behavior of their teenage son. This strange behavior was acompanied by strange telekinetic events, that had manifested around the boy. The family did all they could do, and went as far as they could go with the Catholic Church in the area, The even got advise from noted parapsychologists.
The family decided that they would move to St.Louis Missouri. After the move the tboys condition grew worse as did it for those around him. Reports of beds and chairs shaking, various words rising as welts on the boy's skin, he was speaking in tongues and in Latin, also he was getting bloodied scratches and cuts on his body. Nobody seemed to know what to do for the boy. While the family was in Maryland there was one failed attempt at a church sanctioned exorcicm.
Finaly the family went to the St Louis Archdiocese, and they decided that a second attempt at the exorcism was needed. Now this second attempt was a success after a few months the demonic being inside the boy left, The boy went on toi graduate highschool, and raise a few children. The story went on to inspire the hollywood hit "The Exorcist" one of the horror genre's classic films of all time.
Dark Hollow/Devils Hollow Road- Dark Hollow Road is Callaway county road 409, it is set between the towns of Fulton and Hams Prarie. There is an urban legend associated with this road. The story goes that there was once a group of kids drinking and driving down this road, and they were goofing off and driving with their lights off, and they crashed and died. Now there are reports that if you drive down Dark Hollow road at night and turn your headlights off, that when you turn them back on there will be a phantom car in front of you, and no matter what you do to avoid a collision, you can't. When you hit the car it disapears, and you are said to have Blood spots on your car.
Other reports say that there are Ghost lights that bob up and down on Dark Hollow road, and the most disturbing report is that of the Devils Hollow Devil worshipers, that are said to worsip the devil in the woods just off of Dark Hollow road. There is also the report of an apparition of a woman holding a screaming baby, and she disapears right before she hands you the baby.
This road is supervised by local law enforcement so don't try to investigate without permission from all the land owners. you should never investigate any location without permission anyway. Keep it legal folks please.
